Five Questions for Better Ethical Decisions
Ethical problems often become easier to understand when we examine them through more than one lens. This interactive program briefly introduces five approaches to ethical decision-making: utilitarianism, Kantian ethics, the ethics of care, virtue ethics, and justice and fairness. Participants will learn a practical question associated with each approach and then use those questions to work through realistic workplace dilemmas. The goal is not to find one perfect formula, but to help participants make more thoughtful, balanced, and defensible decisions.

Dr. Cris Wildermuth
Dr. Cristina (Cris) de Mello e Souza Wildermuth is an Associate Professor at Barry University and the Director of the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership. At Barry, she teaches undergraduate and graduate leadership, ethics, diversity, and human resource development courses.
Dr. Wildermuth is a passionate professor, researcher, and leadership development consultant who has engaged audiences and students for over twenty years. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dr. Wildermuth immigrated to the United States in 1992 and has traveled extensively, facilitating leadership and diversity/inclusion programs in Latin America and Europe.
Dr. Wildermuth's main research areas include leadership development and education, ethics, and international/intercultural relations. She has written a book on Diversity Training (published by the Association for Talent Development) and published in peer-reviewed publications such as the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of Leadership Education, and the Journal of Psychological Issues in Organizational Culture.
Dr. Wildermuth holds a Master’s in Technology Education/Training and Development and a Doctorate in Leadership Studies from Bowling Green State University, with a dissertation on employee engagement and personality. She is the chair of LinkedIn’s 1M+ group for HR professionals, Linked:HR, and a member of the International Leadership Association’s Leadership Academy facilitation team
