Cocoa, FL 32922
Directions

Brevard County Schools provide a free breakfast and lunch during the week.  For some students, Friday lunch is their regular meal until the following Monday.  Each Friday, The Children's Hunger Project helps as many elementary school children as possible have food to carry home for the weekend in their backpack.  On the front lines of caring for our children during the week, teachers and school administrators are acutely aware of the weekend hunger crisis.  When the teachers say their goodbyes on Fridays, they know which pupils will not have enough nutrition over the weekend, and which kids will be ill-prepared to learn on Monday morning.

We will be packing food parcels for distribution to the children.  Please arrive by 5:15pm so you have time to sign in before we start at 5:30pm.

Following are basic guidelines:

  • Ages 8 and up may participate in packing.
  • If you do not have a volunteer waiver on file with CHP, click here (https://thechildrenshungerproject.org/volunteer-opportunities/) to complete the online form or click here (https://thechildrenshungerproject.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/VOLUNTEER-AGREEMENT-Rev06.2022pdf.pdf) to download, print and bring with you to the event.

See you on the 19th!
