Background Screening: Fair Credit Reporting Act(FCRA) End User Compliance with Consumer Reports – Adverse Action Process & FCRA Forms

(1)   Learn what are the employer (end user's) responsibilities under the FCRA when using consumer reports and taking adverse action (2) Learn what should and should not be included in the FCRA disclosure; (3) Learn what should and should not be included in the authorization for a consumer report; (4) Learn an overview of both the federal adverse action process and some state specific requirements.

Melissa graduated from law school in 2009 and is barred to practice law in Georgia and is a certified in house counsel by the Florida Bar.  Melissa has more than a decade's worth of experience working with large corporations, from telecommunications to healthcare, providing legal expertise on many different areas of law.  She has worked as in house counsel in the background screening industry for four years.  As in house counsel for Alliance Background, she focuses on FCRA compliance and related state law.
